Retracing Bering’s Route

In the summer of 2010 I was lucky enough to win a Churchill Fellowship which enabled me to retrace the route Vitus Bering took in 1725-1728 on his first attempt to ‘discover’ America. You can click on the gallery to see some of my favourite pictures.

It was an extraordinary journey. What happens now is that I will stew on things for a while. There will be a book, but not this year. In the meantime I have filed a report for the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust which you can find on their website or here.
